O the morning of December the 18th, I had the great pleasure of leading the Bower Grove Senior School carol concert at St Andrew's.
The students and staff had clearly worked hard to make it a success - and I was struck not only by the thoughtfulness of their contributions, but by how respectful and well-behaved the pupils were throughout.
This is especially impressive given that all the children at Bower Grove have recognised Social and Emotional Needs. Their presence was a gift to us - and they've left us with two more!
In our porch, you'll now find the Tree of Stars, and inside the church, the Gratitude Tree - decorated with the children's notes of thanks.
Some are heartwarming, others are delightfully funny. Quite a few have given thanks for air fryer chips - and frankly, I get it!
Do take a look next time you're in church - these trees are full of joy.
